Joseph's story
When Joseph Hamilton, a Modern Woodmen member from Fair Play, South Carolina, became a police officer, he understood the risks of his job. But it hit all too close to home when he read a statistic that most police officer deaths happen between ages 35 and 40 – a range Joseph had reached.
“I had some coverage, but I wanted to protect all that could happen,” says Joseph. “It’d be one less thing for my family to deal with if something happened to me.”
That’s when Joseph decided to get more life insurance through Modern Woodmen. He advises others to always err on the side of caution.
"It’s far better to have life insurance and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it,” he says. “Life is unpredictable. If you plan now, you can help control the situation later. Having insurance protects those closest to you.”
It’s far better to have life insurance and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it.
